The MISSION of the 2nd South Carolina, CSA Volunteers is to educate others in understanding our country’s history in the era of The War between the States, and to preserve our nation’s historical legacy for future generation, in memorial to all those who gave their lives, devotion, service and determination in support of this legacy, both Northern, and Southern. Our motto is “to commemorate…..to educate…..and to emulate…………” Our GOAL is to provide an interesting and entertaining means of learning about our country’s past, with emphasis on the men, women, and children whose loyalties and convictions bound them to the Confederate States of America. We are an independent, non-profit Corporation; all proceeds beyond our operational expenses will be donated for the purpose of education, historic preservation, and restoration. We serve schools, scout groups, historical organizations, community events and private functions by participating in living history impressions, encampments, reenactments, skirmishes, drills, period music, and medical and civilian scenarios. As a non-partisan, non-political corporation, we attempt to educate others as to the real history of our honorable cause. Confederate ancestors were motivated by Constitutional principle, defense of their homes, and the desire for political independence.
